‘Walk-In’ style with these look-a-like red carpet highlights

Despite the pandemic, the 2021 Oscars ceremony has gone ahead IRL in glittery Hollywood. There wasn’t a mask to be seen as celebrities gathered once more for in-person events.

Although we loved seeing celebs look more casual (and getting sneak peeks of their lounge rooms) in the virtual award shows of 2020, it’s special to see the glamour return for the 93rd Academy Awards.

As we’re so inspired by this year’s red carpet looks, here are some highlights and ways you can take the style from the Hollywood Hills to your next event.

Feeling Fluro – Zendaya

While not nominated, actress Zendaya stunned in a fluro yellow custom Valentino dress. The cutout gown was worn with Jimmy Choo pumps and pared down hair and makeup to emphasise the dress even further.

Dripping in Bulgaria diamonds, Zendaya’s dress is inspiring us to not be afraid of shining bright.

Big Sleeve Moment – Regina King

A true highlight from the red carpet this year was Regina King in custom Louis Vuitton. With a design that looks like it was inspired by the beautiful butterfly, this sky blue dress was a total dream.

Encrusted with literal crystals, this dress was extra as anything.

While we don’t have a blingin’ blue number, try out Regina’s big sleeve moment with the Laquan Smith ruffled taffeta dress in this season’s hottest colour; brown.

Casual Chic – Margot Robbie

While dressing in a sparkling Chanel number isn’t exactly casual, Margot Robbie’s pulled back hairstyle makes this look easy to achieve.

The actress and director wore a floral, form fitting, sleeveless dress on the red carpet as well as debuting some heavy bangs.

With an exposed back, low ponytail and drop earrings, why not try this look out with the Rat & Boa Ariel dress.

Lavender Look – Halle Berry

Another celebrity debuting a new haircut this year also wore a plunging dress that we’re totally obsessed with. Perfect for a red carpet event, Halle Berry’s flowing purple Dolce and Gabbana gown was a show stopper.

While wearing a decadent gown to dinner with your friends may be a little bit OTT, channel Halle’s berry-coloured look by wearing the elegant Alex Perry lavender dress.

Suit Up – Tiara Thomas

Surprisingly there weren’t more suits on women this year but musician Tiara Thomas carried the style on the red carpet.

Wearing Jovana Louis, the white, feathered suit featured a plunging neckline and on trend flared pants.

With a diamond necklace an attention grabbing centrepiece, Tiara made the suit look incredibly powerful and glamorous at the same time.

To try your own power suit stance, the Orseund Iris box blazer suit can be worn with a revealing crop top or feather shirt underneath.
